As a small independent press, we’re currently unable to offer physical review copies, so our review copies are supplied as PDF files. We also ask that reviewers have an established blog or website where they share their reviews. This helps us ensure that our review copies reach people with a genuine passion for reading and reviewing books.

While there’s absolutely no obligation, we particularly appreciate reviews being shared on Amazon (.com and your local Amazon site, where applicable) and Goodreads, as these reviews can make a real difference in helping readers discover our books.

There’s no limit to the number of titles you can request. Our authors are always delighted to receive new reviews, and we’re happy for you to choose as many titles as interest you.

RJ founded BLKDOG Publishing with a clear mission - to give overlooked authors the chance to be heard. He believes great stories shouldn’t be limited by traditional publishing gatekeepers, and he’s built a model that makes quality, transparency and opportunity the heart of everything BLKDOG does.
Honest and approachable, RJ is passionate about helping authors navigate the world of publishing without falling into the traps of vanity presses or impossible promises. He values pioneering stories, the kind that stay with you long after you’ve finished reading.
When he’s not reviewing manuscripts or building the BLKDOG community, you’ll find him making lists, setting reminders, and occasionally relying on a firm nudge from Nicky to keep things on track.

If something’s happening at BLKDOG, Nicky’s probably behind it. She juggles the day-to-day with ease - managing author communications, keeping projects moving, and making sure the BLKDOG brand always shines.
A creative thinker at heart, she’s happiest when crafting new ideas, planning marketing campaigns, or designing the perfect pitch deck to bring her latest vision to life. Her goal? To make the publishing process feel effortless for every author.
Powered by coffee, diet coke, and an endless stream of bright ideas, Nicky brings the energy that keeps BLKDOG running.

Chief Disruption Officer

Nap queen. Snack inspector. Professional cuddler.
Jess takes her role as Chief Disruption Officer very seriously. She keeps morale high, checks every bin for leftover snacks, and makes sure no one works too long without a cuddle break.
When she’s not snoozing on the job, she’s perfecting her signature move - loud biscuit chewing. She never eats alone, insisting on bringing her treats into the room to share the experience (and the crumbs).
Jess may sleep through most meetings, but make no mistake -she rules the office.
